1. Overview

Xaroq is committed to transparency and user privacy. This policy explains what data our tools collect, how it is used, and the choices you have.

2. Data We Collect

Xaroq tools are designed to work locally and minimize data collection. The following describes what data may be involved:

  • Browsing data — Xaroq Browser stores browsing history, bookmarks, downloads, and cookies locally on your device. This data is not transmitted to Xaroq servers.
  • AI interactions — When using AI features, queries are sent to the language model endpoint you configure (e.g., a local Ollama instance). Xaroq does not route AI requests through its own servers.
  • Crash and usage analytics — Currently, Xaroq does not collect crash reports or usage analytics. If this changes in the future, it will be opt-in and this policy will be updated.

3. Third-Party Services

Xaroq tools may connect to third-party services based on your configuration:

  • AI model providers — If you configure a remote AI endpoint, your queries are governed by that provider's privacy policy.
  • GitHub Releases — Software updates are distributed via GitHub. GitHub's privacy policy applies to download interactions.
  • Websites you visit — The Xaroq Browser loads web content directly. Websites you visit may collect data according to their own policies.

4. Tracker Blocking

Xaroq Browser includes an optional tracker-blocking feature that prevents known tracking scripts from loading. This feature can be toggled on or off in the browser's privacy settings. No data about blocked trackers is sent to Xaroq.

5. Data Storage & Security

All user data (history, bookmarks, profiles, downloads) is stored locally on your device. Xaroq does not operate servers that store your personal browsing data. You can clear your data at any time using the built-in privacy controls.

6. Children's Privacy

Xaroq tools are not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as our tools evolve. Changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date. Continued use of Xaroq tools after changes constitutes acceptance.
